Who is eligible to enter the awards and timeframe?

All types of enterprises, teams, and talent structures can participate in the evolving HR, L&D, EdTech, and technology landscape. The LearnX® Awards are an international and professional awards program that recognizes multiple fields of HR, Leadership, Talent Tech, L&D, Digital, EdTech, AI, and Immersive Technologies that drive and support talent development throughout the corporate, education, public, and not-for-profit sectors worldwide.

The target audience can be enterprise-wide, a specific group, industry-specific, or a subgroup. With the client’s approval, solution providers/vendors may enter a project alongside or on behalf of a client. The client must be specified in the solution provider/vendor applications. Solutions providers/vendors can independently enter their internal projects and teams.

Projects, initiatives, etc., must have been implemented since January 1, 2024

What is the entry fee per application?

The regular entry fee is $375AUD per application, unless otherwise advertised.
The current ‘Great Saver’ is $299AUD per entry, a saving of 20% per entry.

Do applications remain confidential?

Yes. Judges will not share any confidential material, judging papers, or applications. The LearnX® Awards may include confidential information in your entry, which will be kept confidential by the awards’ management team and judges. All submitted materials are deleted or destroyed after the judging process. Judges must disclose any conflicts of interest, and non-disclosure agreements are in place to protect the confidentiality of the entries. Judges only have access to the entries assigned to them for scoring, and judging discussions are confidential and not shared with anyone outside the judging panel.

What is a project?

LearnX context: A project can encompass a wide range of activities such as campaigns, classes, courses, curriculum, deployments, developments, digital initiatives, education, eLearning, HR tech, immersive technologies, implementations, interventions, learning tech, lessons, models, modules, programs, seminars, solutions, strategies, talent tech, training, workshops, and VR tech. Projects can be enterprise-wide or targeted to a specific group. Industry projects can be industry-wide or targeted to a subgroup within the industry. A project can be submitted in multiple categories.

What are the project criterion?

Why are projects used as a foundation for awards?

Industry leaders and associated professionals value project dynamics, whether they incorporate people, technology, or other components. Projects are essential for bringing about transformation because they translate enterprise goals into tangible results and activities. LearnX Award applicants vary in budgets, backgrounds, and experiences, making direct comparisons challenging. To ensure fair evaluation, a project standard with four requirements is used to judge entries. LearnX employs a scorecard method to assess applications on their merit, considering planning, execution, results, and context. Applications can also be customised to fit the project. LearnX has been a leading global award program since 2007.

How is a team defined?

LearnX context: A team is a group of two or more highly skilled specialists who offer expertise, management, consultation, training, and industry-specific services either internally or externally. Teams can be composed of individuals from one or more enterprises, including vendor companies. Various teamwork arrangements such as office-based, on-off-site, hybrid, work-from-home/remote, and flexible setups, are acknowledged.

How is a partnership defined?

LearnX context: A partnership is an alliance of two or more enterprises, consultancies, agencies, and/or vendors that work collaboratively to provide professional products and services to develop and implement enterprise solutions.

What is talent?

LearnX context: Talent can encompass a wide range of people, including coaches, consultants, designers, educators, employees, industry/subject matter experts, instructors, leaders, learners, managers, mentors, participants, professionals, specialists, students, technologists, trainers, teachers, and more.

Can artificial intelligence (AI) technology be used to assist in developing award applications?

AI tools can help develop LearnX award applications, but AI shouldn’t be the exclusive source of entries. Showcasing unique contexts, planning, and results is crucial. AI should not be used to produce erroneous data or outcomes, but it can assist with content format and improve clarity, grammar, and quality. All information must be accurate and verifiable. The material presented should be based on actual projects and solutions, outlining context, challenges, strategies, actions taken, and results obtained. AI-generated examples and fictional scenarios are prohibited. It is the responsibility of all participants to confirm the veracity of all information.

This award focuses on a career development project that an enterprise implemented to offer a framework of learning, linked to future work options that drive and support talent development.

Change Management

This award focuses on a change management project that an enterprise implemented to reduce resistive impact and increase positive support for an enterprise’s transformation whilst driving talent development.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

This award focuses on a diversity/inclusion project that an enterprise implemented to value talent equally, accept individual differences, embrace their strengths and provide opportunities to drive and support talent development.

Employee Experience

This award focuses on an employee experience project that an enterprise implemented to positively impact the relationship/communication experience between all levels of talent.

Induction/Onboarding

This award focuses on an induction/onboarding training project that an enterprise implemented specifically for new hires to drive and support talent development.

Learning Culture

This award focuses on a learning-culture project that an enterprise implemented to integrate a system of talent development via the support of technology, mobile learning, coaching/mentoring, and social networks.

Organisational Development

This award focuses on an organisational development project that was implemented to improve enterprise effectiveness whilst its talent learns and adapts to challenges (e.g., new technology, competition, regulation, or other industry/enterprise demands).

People & Culture

This award focuses on a people and culture project that an enterprise implemented to build and maintain a framework of positive conditions for talent (e.g., engagement, support, values, learning, wellbeing etc.).

Talent Recruitment

This award recognises a recruitment project that an enterprise implemented to fill one or more temporary/permanent executive talent positions (e.g., leadership roles, project managers, driving innovation, or with specialized knowledge and skills, etc.) to support business development in the future of work.

Remote Working

This award focuses on a remote working project that was implemented to build a cohesive relationship between talent and the enterprise, that integrated remote team development, performance measures, accountability, and trust.

Wellbeing-Health

This award focuses on a wellbeing-health project that an enterprise implemented to engage talent beyond routine work practices, providing a holistic framework for addressing different wellbeing and health risk factors. The project aims to improve physical and mental wellness-health to support talent and business development in the future of work.

Work-Life Balance

This award focuses on a project that was implemented to allow both the enterprise and its talent to formalize working arrangements that help minimize work-related stress and support/maintain a work-life balance, resulting in better business outcomes in the future of work.

This award focuses on two or more compliance specialists who provide management, consultation, training, and/or industry-specific services to drive and support talent development.

Customer Experience Team

This award focuses on two or more customer-experience specialists who provide management, consultation, training, and/or industry-specific services to drive and support talent development.

EdTech Team

This award focuses on two or more EdTech specialists who provide consultation, management, training, and/or industry-specific services to drive and support educational outcomes.

Health & Safety Team

This award focuses on two or more health and safety specialists who provide management, consultation, training, and/or industry-specific services to drive and support talent development.

HR AI Tech Team

This award focuses on two or more HR AI tech adoption specialists who have been tasked with identifying, implementing, and managing artificial intelligence tools to drive and support talent development.

HR Business Partner Team

This award focuses on two or more HR business partner specialists who provide management, consultation, training and/or industry-specific services to drive and support talent and HR business operations.

Talent Recruitment Team

This award focuses on two or more talent recruitment specialists who provide specific services to attract, identify, hire, and onboard people (e.g., sourcing, marketing, pre-boarding/hire assessment, interview strategies, job offerings, background checking, and tech solutions) to drive and support the talent acquisition process.

Leadership Team

This award focuses on two or more leadership specialists who provide management, consultation, training, and/or industry-specific services to drive and support talent development.

Learning Academy Team

This award focuses on two or more learning academy specialists who provide management, consultation, training, and/or industry-specific services to drive and support talent development of employees, partners, and clients.

This award focuses on the application of Next-Gen AI software and tools in an enterprise’s employee experience project (e.g., integrating AI-powered automation, real-time analytics, generated content, personalized experiences, and engagement processes) to support talent and drive business in the future of work.

HR Mobile App

This award focuses on the application of Next-Gen AI software and tools in an enterprise HR mobile app project, such as integrating AI-powered automation, real-time data analytics, generated content, reporting, tracking, training, and compliance, etc. The app is intended for teams, managers, employees, and/or recruiters to improve various core HR workflows with productivity, mobility, and control in the future of work.

HRMS

This award focuses on the application of Next-Gen AI software and tools in an enterprise’s HRMS project, such as core administration, payroll, benefits, time tracking, and support desk. This includes integrating AI-powered automation, real-time analytics, generated content, personalized performance, and HRMS reporting to support talent and drive business in the future of work.

Immersive Learning

This award focuses on the application of Next-Gen AI software and tools in an enterprise’s immersive learning project (e.g., digital, AI-driven, and immersive tools, adaptive learning platforms, VR/AR simulations, intelligent tutoring systems) to make learning more personalised, interactive, and effective to improve learning in the future of work.

Learning Enablement

This award focuses on the application of Next-Gen AI software and tools in an enterprise’s learning enablement project (e.g., integrating AI-powered automation, real-time analytics, generated content) to create personalised, continuous and context-aware learning experiences in work processes to support talent and drive business in the future of work.

New AI Solution Release

The award focuses on recently released solutions (2026), next-gen AI software/tools (e.g., recruitment integrations, mobile applications, data-driven analytics, course creation, payroll automation, compliance platforms, LMS etc.) that either solve current tech issues in an innovative way or bring new tech features and capabilities to an HR project.

People Assessment

This award focuses on the application of Next-Gen AI software and tools in an enterprise’s people assessment project (e.g., integrating agentic-AI, chatbots, machine learning, natural language processing, etc.) to analyse, evaluate, and predict employee or candidate performance, skills, personality, and culture fit.

Recruitment-Acquisition

LMS Suite (Compliance)

This award focuses on a compliance project that an enterprise implemented via an LMS software suite, which included features such as automation, reporting, tracking, talent status checks, and training/course assignments to manage compliance training.

Learning Experience Platform

This award focuses on a learning experience platform (LXP) project that an enterprise implemented providing the ability to generate user content for self-directed learning available via a suite of software tools to drive and support talent development. The LXP can be part of an LMS upgrade/addition and/or a new deployment project.

Learning Records Store

This award focuses on a Learning Record Store (LRS) project that is xAPI compliant and an enterprise implementation with built-in advanced storage, data collection, reporting/dashboards, and systems integration to drive and support talent development. The project can be enterprise-wide or targeted to a specific group.

Learning Technology Innovation

This award focuses on a new or significantly altered learning technology project that an enterprise implemented, demonstrating industry innovation in driving and supporting talent development (e.g., software, applications, tools, cloud-based, mobile, AI, chatbots, AR/VR/XR/MV etc.)

Learning Technology (Use of AI Tech)

This award focuses on an enterprise learning project that innovatively integrated artificial intelligence (AI)-powered technology to manage and deliver personalised learning capabilities across digital devices and learner locations.

Mobile Learning App

This award focuses on a mobile app (iOS and Android) that an enterprise implemented as part of a learning project. The app provides access to content, structured training, and performance/job support on multiple devices, offering online and offline capability to drive and support talent development. The app can be a standalone platform or part of an LMS suite of tools.

TM App (Compliance)

This award focuses on a talent management app (iOS and Android) that an enterprise implemented as part of a compliance project to train and support talent development on laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that apply to their job tasks and company responsibilities. The app can function as a standalone platform or be integrated into a HR/LMS suite of tools.

TM App (Induction/Onboarding)

This award focuses on a talent management app (iOS and Android) implemented by an enterprise as part of a new hire induction/onboarding project to drive and support talent development. The app can function as a standalone platform or be integrated into a HR/LMS suite of tools.

This award focuses on an ‘industry-specific’ training project that an enterprise implemented which issues certification upon successful completion of the training, to drive and support talent development.

Compliance Training

This award focuses on a compliance project that an enterprise implemented to train and support talent development on laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that applied to their job tasks and responsibilities. The project can be enterprise-wide or targeted to a specific group.

Compliance (Industry Specific)

This award focuses on an ‘industry-specific’ compliance project that an enterprise implemented to train and support talent development on laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that applied to their job tasks and company responsibilities.

Content Curation (Use of AI Tech)

This award focuses on a learning content curation project that an enterprise implemented, in which AI technology has been used to aggregate content from a variety of sources, analyse it, structure it, and then present it online in a systematised design.

Custom/Bespoke

This award focuses on a custom bespoke-designed learning that an enterprise implemented to drive and support talent development.

Customer Experience

This award focuses on a customer experience training project that an enterprise implemented to deliver targeted outcomes on the brand’s promise and increase the effectiveness of customer service representatives.

Emergency Management Training

This award focuses on a training project that an enterprise implemented to drive and support talent development in relation to emergency management (e.g., crisis management, diverse natural disasters, public health and safety settings, technology disruptions and attacks, etc.). The project can be enterprise-wide, group-specific, or target local, state-wide, or national.

Environmental, Social & Governance

This award focuses on an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) training project that an enterprise implemented to explain its ESG strategy and responsibilities aiming to drive and support talent and future business outcomes.

Ethics Education

This award focuses on an ethical training project that an enterprise implemented to drive and support talent development related to conduct, trust, mutual respect, and alignment with professional and company standards, policies, and rules.

Environmental Education

This award focuses on an environmental training project that an enterprise implemented to drive and support talent development (e.g., impact, management, awareness etc.).

Future Learning

This award focuses on a learning project that an enterprise implemented which created a future model and pathway for enterprise education to drive and support talent development.

Hard Skills

This award focuses on a hard skills training project that an enterprise implemented to drive and support talent development (e.g., safety, emergency/risk, trades, machinery, computing, professional expertise, etc.).

Health & Safety (Enterprise)

This award focuses on a health and safety training project that an enterprise implemented which led to safe and health-oriented performances to drive and support talent development.

Health & Safety (Industry Specific)

This award focuses on an industry-specific health and safety training project an enterprise implemented leading to safe and health-oriented performances to drive and support talent development.

Hybrid Learning

This award focuses on a hybrid learning project that an enterprise implemented, incorporating both onsite and remote learning strategies to drive and support talent development.

Learning Campaign

This award focuses on a campaign-based learning project that an enterprise implemented, which offers a series of learning experiences using different mediums to create behavioural change to drive and support talent development.

Learning Needs Analysis

This award focuses on a learning needs analysis project that an enterprise implemented to provide data, statistics, conclusions, and a recommended training strategy to achieve specific outcomes to drive and support talent development.

This award focuses on a people and performance project that an enterprise implemented to leverage learning and capability to train, motivate, improve and support talent development.

Performance Support

This award focuses on a performance support project that an enterprise implemented, which is embedded in the workflow, giving talent access to information that increases the effectiveness of prior training to drive and support talent development.

Product Knowledge

This award focuses on a product knowledge training project that an enterprise implemented to build knowledge of merchandise, services, solve product and/or customer related issues to drive and support talent development.

Product Knowledge (Industry Specific)

This award focuses on an ‘industry-specific’ product knowledge training project that an enterprise implemented to build knowledge of merchandise, services, solve product and/or customer-related issues that drive and support talent development.

Reskilling

This award focuses on a reskilling project that an enterprise implemented to build and learn new skills to support and drive talent development.

Soft Skills
