FAQ & GENERAL GUIDELINES 2025
About the LearnX® Awards
The LearnX® Awards have been in practice since 2008. As with every year, the LearnX® Awards standings continue to surpass expectations with a surge in high-calibre applications from around the world. The LearnX® Awards are an international and professional awards program that recognizes multiple fields of learning and talent development throughout the corporate, education, public, and not-for-profit sectors worldwide.
Applicants may elect to enter the EdTech category independently and/or enter the education field. An academy, business school, campus, college, education association, government agency, institute, nonprofit, RTO, university, etc. are examples of educational enterprises.
Award applications are objectively assessed against set criteria by independent judges via a points system scorecard—on merit, not comparatively. This quality-driven process ensures an equal playing field and an opportunity for success with each application.
The LearnX® Awards recognize innovative projects and technology solutions that provide value to enterprises. The awards range from Platinum (7 stars) to Silver (4 stars), with Platinum being the highest accolade.
The LearnX® Awards are highly esteemed in the field of learning, talent, and skill development, representing excellence. Winning a LearnX® Award is a significant achievement in the realm of learning and talent. With thousands of applications reviewed, the awards provide professional recognition and positively influence over 1.5 million talented individuals across various industries and countries.

JUDGING
How are applications judged?
Applications are independently judged on merit using an unbiased scorecard method, not in comparison to other entries. Each enterprise’s projects, teams, and solutions are evaluated based on their unique context. Awards are given based on specific scores, and multiple entries in each category may receive recognition. This method eliminates direct competition between entrants. An entry needs to score 61 or more points to be awarded.
– Platinum Award: 90 — 100 points
– Diamond Award: 80 – 89 points
– Gold Award: 70 – 79 points
– Silver Award: 60 – 69 points
Judges are assigned categories in line with their experience and industry expertise. Each category or application will be evaluated by three judges who will review, assess, and score the applications along with any supporting materials. The scores are then combined and averaged to determine the final score for each application. The judging decisions are final, and no further discussion or correspondence will be entertained regarding the award decisions or judging process.
What is the judging order of applications?
Awards are judged in the order of their online submission ‘lodgment time’ in each category. For example, the first award submitted for ‘Best Online Learning Model’ is judged first, and the last award submitted for ‘Best Online Learning Model’ is judged last.
Will the judges make contact for additional information?
Judges may request additional information from entrants if needed. The email request will come from awards@learnx.live and will be generically signed off as the LearnX® Awards Team.
How do the criteria work?
All criteria 1–4 must be completed. Each criteria have a limit of 500 words. This is automatically tallied as you type in each panel section. Criteria format guides (CFG) are provided for each criterion and can be used in part or in full at the applicant’s discretion.
Each criterion has been assigned a specific score. The maximum score per entry is 100 points. Upon reaching 61 points, an entrant automatically becomes a nominee/placegetter. As scoring continues, the rating is as follows:
Applications are judged on merit via a scorecard, not comparatively. Projects, teams, and solutions are unique to each enterprise (small, medium, or large) and are judged accordingly. Entries are awarded based on their specific scores, and multiple entries in each category may receive awards. Direct competition between entrants is eliminated with this strategy.
An entry needs to score 61 or more points to be awarded.
– Platinum Award: 91 — 100 points
– Diamond Award: 81 – 90 points
– Gold Award: 71 – 80 points
– Silver Award: 61 – 70 points
Future Impact Award
In exceptional circumstances, judges may award an entry based on future impact, even if the project does not practically align with the criteria (e.g., project launch and real-world testing phase etc.). These entrants are encouraged to resubmit their application the following year.
Can judges transfer an application to a different category?
Judges may occasionally reassign an entry to a different category if they believe it fits better there. If this occurs, the entrant will be contacted to discuss options. If you need advice on choosing a category, please contact the awards team before submitting.
Do applications remain confidential?
Yes. Judges will not share any confidential material, judging papers, or applications. All submitted materials are deleted or destroyed after the judging process. The LearnX® Awards may include confidential information in your entry, which will be kept confidential by the awards’ management team and judges. Judges must disclose any conflicts of interest, and non-disclosure agreements are in place to protect the confidentiality of the entries. Judges only have access to the entries assigned to them for scoring, and judging discussions are confidential and not shared with anyone outside the judging panel.
Who judges the applications?
To maintain fairness, the judges of the LearnX® Awards remain anonymous. They are selected through a nomination process by past award winners from a global talent pool. They are not allowed to disclose their participation. Judges are trained in the adjudication process and selected for their expertise in talent and educational management, as well as learning and talent technologies. They are remunerated for their services and serve a two-year term. The judging panels and awards management team do not consist of vendors.
Can someone be nominated to be a judge?
Yes. To be accepted for an initial evaluation, a person must have been nominated by three individuals from separate organizations. Self-nominations are not accepted. Nominations for potential judges need to address, in 150 words or fewer, the nominee’s credentials for judging via email to awards@learnx.live.

When will the results be announced?
